CNY approaches
Excellent, new year is coming and i got quite a workload. haha... this is going to be one new year i'll never forget.
to start off, i still haven't clean up my room. (oops! my secret is out) yeah, it's messy, unmaintained... oh well, at least i got rid of most of my sec 5 notes. haha... who will be needing them for now? well, only kept the more important ones and threw away mostly worksheets.
as for my guitaring life, sigh, really got a major problem. after so long, i noticed i got weak fingers! ah! this is one nightmare, really got to pump up my finger muscles. you may wonder why. well, this is because in playing barre chords, you will need your finger's strength to press across the whole fretboard. and that's why. i can press across the whole fretboard but it's my other fingers that will cause the string to buzz. sigh, pumping up my fingers almost daily. hope i can get my fingers ready by this saturday morning. got test on a barre chord song. the whole song is practically barre chords.
and now i noticed something. these few days, my bother seemed to be always helping girls to do things. hmm... i'm getting a bit irritated by this. just today, he woke me up at 6 in the morning and asked me to help him print a girl's DnT work! i mean, HELLO?! YOU'RE A STUDENT, SHOULDN'T YOU BE FOCUSING ON YOUR STUDIES? please, he's like wanting to enter into every girl's good books. sigh. yes, so what if he's handsome. it does not mean everything and it doesn't mean that if you're handsome, you can go around bossing people into helping you doing other's work. asked him why is he helping them and yet he talked back to me. :S sigh, headache ah...
also, last night sure was cool. had our new year service just last night. pastor really touched on an interesting and controversal topic. what can a christian do and not do? haha, this reminded me on my trip to Expo last night, before i head into that, sorry Ben, really didn't know you're in class when i called. it was totally unintentional. :S
well, i was alone at the Tanah Merah interchange, i was approached by a man who happened to be a christian that is trying to promote some courses to strengthen our faith. he did some introductions on the courses and there was a particular course on health. so he asked me, "do you now what you should eat and not to eat in this world?" i was like, huh? did our faith restrict us from certain foods? tell me where in the bible states the restriction. come on, God never restricted us from eating certain things. as long as we say our grace and bless the food, we will not be sinning. just read Romans 14:1-3 it clearly states eating is neutral. it's all up to you. you may like meat, so go ahead, you like veggies, go ahead. it's ok. just accept what others may eat and drink. we never have a God that restricts us from eating or drinking this and that.
still, that man asked me if i heard of a radio station for christians. i played along and said maybe i've heard of it. so, he told me blah blah blah... and tune into this station if you want to listen to the word that has reached thousands for the pass 150 years. ok, history check, 'word that has been going around for 150 years?'. something smells fishy here. the WORD(of God) is on this earth for at least 2000 years if you only talk about the New Testaments and if you include the Old Testaments, it will be so long that it will be at the start where God created the heavens and the earth. then he left me and waited for more people to arrive at the platform. hmm... he only targets people that are alone. why isn't him targeting the groups? something is just not right with him.
then after the service, really was tired and out of words. so, i kept quiet and only talked to Summer, a cell group member that is from Shanghai. well, she sure can chat a lot. haha... she somehow got that 'sunshine girl' characteristic. you go girl! yeah. she wants me to call her 'da jie' lol... haha...
after she alighted, i just stood all alone at the door. really got nothing to talk about with the rest. i really couldn't believe that i really can sleep while standing in the MRT! i slept for about 5 minutes or so. wow. then it was a quiet journey home. sigh, hit the haystack after having a light supper.
well, that's all to it and i'll be heading back to my guitar for now. adios!(good bye in mexicano)
