a weekful of many events
hi all, back again after a long time again.
well, last week was one great week. in my opinion, its the best week ever. :)
first off, it was the BIG BANG zone camp. it was really a refreshing experience. it was also a time where i really was challenged left, right and center. i operated mainly as a camp medic (i still get to enjoy the camp, serving the fellow campers. ;D )
the camp also shed new light for me in the area of being a first-aider. indeed i have the skills to make my casualty feel better but, ultimately, it is God that can do things that i can't do. that is, to heal him/her.
i recall on the last night, there was this brother who was having gastric. i was called up to attend to him. as usual, i went there with my medkit.
when i first reached him, he was sitting down. hands clutching his belly, a clear sign of him experiencing pain. there was also a CGL who accompanied me to find him. from what i heard, he was already given a gastric pill by another person.
so, i wanted him to move to somewhere bright and cooling (he was sitting at a dim and humid place. an air-conditioner unit was just beside him). he insisted that he do not want to move away and the pain is excruciating. then the CGL asked him how he was feeling. then, we all prayed for him.
we prayed for a few minutes and then asked him again. this time, he said he does not feel the pain but he felt nauseous. then, we prayed again for the nausea to be gone. we asked him again, this time, it reversed, nausea gone, pain returned. we continued to pray again.
after about 10 minutes or more, i left to check on another person while one of his cg member prayed for him.
after an hour, i went back to check on him again at the same place and this time, a miracle occurred. he said the pain and nausea left him. i was suprised and excited over it. a healing happened in front of my very eyes. a first-person account. it was really amazing. their faith in believing for healing really amazed me. such child-like faith is really indeed a key to unlock God's power in our life.
it was a tiring experience as i rushed around attending to the casualties but really thank God for strength to do all i did during camp. i had to stay up until quite late for the 2 nights of the camp.
physically-wise, indeed i was tired. spiritually-wise, it was a refreshing and recharging experience. God is indeed amazing and works in ways we cannot see. He is always there to encourage me whenever i am down. the camp can be described with one word: POWERFUL.
also, last friday happened to be my birthday too. once again, thanks to all for your well-wishes. i appreciate it. :D then my cell group really put up a huge celebration for me. they celebrated for 3 days. (like the legendary 'man han chuan xi' or 'The Heroes Feast' which is a feast believed to last 3 days and nights because of the spread of food served in honour of the hero).
this year i'm 20 years-old already. time sure flies.
therefore, 20 marks the highest i can get in this level and now it has become the starting point for me to grow to my next level. (kind of deep i guess. haha XD )
well, i'll stop here. will be back soon! i got inspired to blog in a more different way. updates will come soon!
in the meantime, take care everyone!
